Conference on Pipelines, Trenchless Technology Planned for Shanghai

The International Conference on Pipelines and Trenchless Technology is scheduled for Oct. 18-21 in Shanghai, China. The conference is co-sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers Pipeline Division, the China-U.S. Joint Center for Trenchless R&D, the China Society for Trenchless Technology, and the Center for Underground Infrastructure Research and Education at the University of Texas-Arlington.
The theme of the conference is “Advances and Experiences with Pipelines and Trenchless Technology Projects for Water, Sewer, Gas and Oil Applications.” Topics include all aspects of pipeline construction and trenchless technology, including design, construction, management, inspection, repair and more.
The conference is intended for engineers, contractors, suppliers, educators, government officials and anyone who has a stake in pipeline construction and rehabilitation. It offers the chance to learn about the latest technologies that are being used throughout the world. Participants are expected from across China, the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries.
The conference will include technical sessions in addition to workshops, technical tours and sightseeing tours of historic Shanghai. Conference co-chairs are Dr. Mohammad Najafi, University of Texas-Arlington, Dr. Huiming Tang, China University of Geosciences, and Dr. Chunwen Yan, China Society for Trenchless Technology.
